A simple, no-bake fall snack featuring thinly sliced apples drizzled with warm caramel sauce, sprinkled with nuts and cinnamon for a cozy, shareable treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium apples (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp), washed and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional toppings: mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, melted dark chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Slice apples thinly, about 1/8 inch thick, keeping slices uniform.
  2. Arrange apple slices in a single overlapping layer on a large serving platter.
  3. Warm caramel sauce in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring between, until warm and pourable. Alternatively, warm gently on stovetop over low heat.
  4. Drizzle warm caramel sauce over apple slices in a zigzag pattern, coating without drowning the apples.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the caramel-drizzled apples.
  6. Dust with ground cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt.
  7. Add optional toppings like mini chocolate chips or shredded coconut if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while apples are crisp and caramel is warm and gooey.

Notes

Warm caramel just enough to be pourable but not boiling to avoid burning. Toast nuts lightly for enhanced flavor if desired. Prepare apples ahead but add caramel and toppings just before serving to keep apples crisp. For nut allergies, substitute nuts with pumpkin or sunflower seeds. Dairy-free caramel and coconut flakes can be used for vegan version.
