  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 to 1.5 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray or any neutral oil spray
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
  • Optional: maple syrup instead of honey
  • Optional: chili flakes or smoked chipotle powder for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Rinse salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into roughly 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and lime juice until smooth and glossy. Set aside.
  3. Place salmon cubes in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the fish. Toss gently to coat evenly.
  4. Pour about half of the honey sriracha glaze over the salmon cubes and toss again to coat. Reserve the remaining glaze for later.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer without overcrowding.
  7. Air fry for 6 minutes, flipping the bites halfway through (around 3 minutes) for even browning.
  8. Brush the reserved glaze over the salmon bites and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until caramelized and crispy. Ensure internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. Transfer salmon bites to a plate and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh lime juice and optional sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

If glaze browns too fast, lower air fryer temperature to 375°F (190°C) and extend cooking time by 1-2 minutes. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for best crispiness. Use tamari for gluten-free option. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat in air fryer or oven to maintain crispiness.
