A quick and easy 5-minute cream cheese caramel apple dip made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for weeknights, parties, or when you need a delicious treat without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (226 grams) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup (120 ml) caramel sauce, thick (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon sea salt (plus more for garnish)
  • 3–4 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Granny Smith), sliced for dipping

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes, or microwave on half power for 10-15 seconds until soft but not melted.
  2. Beat the cream cheese: Place softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer on medium speed, beat for about 30 seconds until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  3. Add the caramel sauce: Pour in ½ cup caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar. Beat on low speed for about 20 seconds until fully incorporated. Do not overmix.
  4. Taste and adjust: Add a pinch of sea salt if desired. For more sweetness, add another tablespoon of caramel sauce; for more tang, add a splash more apple cider vinegar.
  5. Chill (optional but recommended): Transfer dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to let flavors meld and texture firm up.
  6. Prep the apples: Wash and slice apples into ½-inch thick wedges. To prevent browning, toss slices in a mixture of 1 tablespoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar and 1 cup cold water, then drain and pat dry.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Arrange apple slices around the bowl of dip. Garnish with a drizzle of extra caramel sauce and flaky sea salt if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and a thick caramel sauce (not thin ice cream topping). Let cream cheese soften properly to avoid lumps. Do not overmix or the dip will become runny. The dip thickens as it chills; let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving if made ahead. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Not recommended for freezing.
