A quick and comforting tea blend inspired by Starbucks’ Medicine Ball, combining green and white teas with honey, lemon, and mint for soothing relief.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) fresh filtered water
  • 1 Jade Citrus Mint tea bag
  • 1 Peach Citrus White tea bag
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey (raw or wildflower, to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • 4 to 5 fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Optional: splash of hot water to dilute if tea is too strong

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 ½ cups (360 ml) of fresh filtered water until it reaches a rolling boil (about 5 minutes). If using a temperature-controlled kettle, aim for around 200°F (93°C).
  2. Place one Jade Citrus Mint and one Peach Citrus White tea bag into a large mug or teapot. Pour the hot water over them. Add fresh mint leaves now if using.
  3. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes to extract full flavor.
  4. Remove the tea bags and mint leaves gently, squeezing the bags lightly against the mug’s side to capture flavorful liquid without bitterness.
  5. Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons honey (adjust to sweetness preference) and 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice until honey dissolves completely.
  6. If the tea tastes too strong, add a splash of hot water to mellow it out.
  7. Give it a gentle stir and let it sit for a minute or two to cool slightly before sipping.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor; bottled lemon juice can be used in a pinch but is less bright. Avoid over-steeping to prevent bitterness. Add honey after steeping to preserve its soothing enzymes. Fresh mint leaves add a cooling sensation; dried mint is not recommended. For vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar. Can be stored brewed (without honey and lemon) in fridge up to 24 hours; add honey and lemon fresh when reheating.
