These quick crispy air fryer pork chops with apple chutney are a busy weeknight hero. The air fryer delivers a perfectly crispy coating without the mess of deep frying, while a simple apple chutney comes together in minutes for a sweet-tart finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick, 1.5 lbs total)
  • ยฝ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ยผ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon salt
  • ยผ teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 large apple (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn), peeled and diced into ยผ-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries or raisins
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly distributed.
  3. Pat each pork chop completely dry with paper towels.
  4. Working one at a time, press each pork chop firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides and edges. Place coated chops on a plate.
  5. Lightly spray the tops of the coated pork chops with olive oil spray. Flip and spray the other side.
  6. Arrange pork chops in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching or overlapping.
  7. Air fry at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 10 minutes. Carefully flip each chop and cook for another 2-4 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 145ยฐF (63ยฐC) and coating is deeply golden and crispy.
  8. Transfer pork chops to a clean plate or cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. While pork rests, in a small skillet or saucepan, combine diced apple, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, dried cranberries, water, and a pinch of salt and cinnamon (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes, until apples are tender but still hold their shape and liquid has thickened into a syrupy glaze.
  10. Serve immediately by spooning warm apple chutney over rested pork chops.

Notes

For best results, use pork chops at least 1-inch thick. Pat chops dry before coating to ensure crispiness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed. Let pork rest 5 minutes before serving. Chutney can be made up to 3 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
