A quick and easy sheet pan ham dinner with a sweet honey glaze and roasted vegetables, ready in just 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights when you need a delicious, comforting meal without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 to 2 lbs ham steaks (thick-cut, bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (packed, light or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 lb baby potatoes (halved or quartered)
  • 3–4 medium carrots (peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and ground cloves. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the baby potatoes and carrot chunks with olive oil, dried thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread them evenly on one side of the prepared sheet pan.
  4. Roast the potatoes and carrots for 10 minutes.
  5. While the vegetables are roasting, pat the ham steaks dry with paper towels. Place them on a plate and brush half of the glaze on the top side.
  6. After 10 minutes, remove the sheet pan from the oven. Push the potatoes and carrots to the sides to make room. Place the ham steaks in the center, glazed side up. Brush the remaining glaze on the top of the ham.
  7. Toss the broccoli florets with a tiny bit of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Scatter them around the ham and among the potatoes and carrots.
  8. Return the sheet pan to the oven and roast for another 12-15 minutes, until the ham is heated through, the glaze is sticky and caramelized, the potatoes are tender, and the broccoli is bright green with slightly charred edges.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Slice the ham steaks against the grain into strips. Serve alongside the roasted vegetables, spooning any extra glaze from the pan over everything.

Notes

Don’t skip lining the pan with foil or parchment for easy cleanup. Watch the broccoli to avoid overcooking. Cut the ham steaks after cooking to keep them juicy. Double the glaze if you want extra for dipping. Use a meat thermometer to ensure ham reaches 140°F (60°C) if using pre-cooked ham steaks.
