Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian sweet rolls recommended)
  • 1 ยฝ pounds deli-sliced roasted turkey breast
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ยฝ cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • ยผ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ยผ teaspoon salt
  • โ…› teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Make the cranberry aioli: In a small bowl, combine ยฝ cup cranberry sauce, ยผ cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon honey, ยผ teaspoon salt, and โ…› teaspoon cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  3. Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab of 12 slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  4. Spread about half of the cranberry aioli evenly over the cut side of the bottom rolls.
  5. Arrange the sliced turkey evenly over the aioli, slightly overlapping the slices.
  6. Lay the provolone slices evenly over the turkey.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese, cut side down. Press down gently.
  8. In a small bowl, mix 4 tablespoons melted butter, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (if using), 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and ยฝ teaspoon onion powder. Stir until combined.
  9. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls, making sure to get the edges.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown. For extra-crispy tops, broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the sliders rest for 5 minutes. Use a sharp knife to cut between the rolls, separating them into individual sliders.
  12. Drizzle the remaining cranberry aioli over the top or serve it on the side for dipping.

Notes

For extra-crispy sliders, toast the bottom half of the rolls for 2-3 minutes before adding the aioli and toppings. You can assemble the sliders up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate; add 5-7 minutes to the baking time. Double the aioli recipe if serving a crowd, as people love to dip.
